In the NFL, the Chicago Bears beat the New England Patriots 30 to 24 as Caleb Williams passed for 308 yards and two touchdowns. Cairo Santos added a career-long 58-yard field goal with 1:34 left, and Chicago recovered the ensuing onside kick to seal its fifth win. In the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers erased a 29-point deficit to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 114 to 106, powered by Tyrese Maxey’s 32 points and Joel Embiid’s 24. Looking ahead, MLB’s World Series opens Friday with the Tampa Bay Rays visiting the Milwaukee Brewers, and neither franchise has won the championship. In the NBA, the defending champion New York Knicks visit the Boston Celtics, where Paul George is coming off a 38-point Celtics debut. The LA Clippers meet the Los Angeles Lakers, the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Golden State Warriors, and the Chicago Bulls face the Milwaukee Bucks.
