In PGA Tour golf, Scottie Scheffler shot a final-round 66 and won the FedEx St. Jude Championship at 17 under, eight strokes ahead of Si Woo Kim. The world No. 1 also tied the TPC Southwind course record with a Friday 61, then delivered the PGA Tour’s widest victory margin this season. In LPGA golf, Jeeno Thitikul finished at 22 under to win the Portland Classic by one stroke over Chanettee Wannasaen and Arpichaya Yubol. In MLB, the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6 to 2 as Logan Henderson allowed one run across seven innings and Jake Bauers supplied four hits and two RBIs. In the WNBA, Caitlin Clark had 26 points and nine assists as the Indiana Fever erased an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit and beat the Atlanta Dream 95 to 91 in overtime.
Looking ahead, in MLB, the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays close their four-game series with Baltimore holding the final American League wild-card spot after three straight wins. Brandon Young brings a 9-and-3 record for the Orioles, while Shane McClanahan is scheduled to return from the injured list for Tampa Bay. The Dodgers begin a series at Coors Field with Blake Snell facing the Colorado Rockies, and the Chicago White Sox visit the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. In the WNBA, the Dallas Wings meet the Golden State Valkyries, with Paige Bueckers averaging 20.2 points and six assists for Dallas. Later this week, the top 50 players in the FedEx Cup standings move to Bellerive Country Club for the BMW Championship beginning Thursday. Off the field, the Dallas Cowboys signed eight-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Von Miller to a one-year deal after the 37-year-old recorded nine sacks last season.
