In PGA golf, Wyndham Clark won the BMW Championship at 17 under, three shots ahead of Patrick Cantlay. Clark lost a five-shot lead to Rory McIlroy through 11 holes, then birdied the final three, starting with a 15-footer at the 16th, to secure his third win of the year. In Formula 1, Lando Norris won the Dutch Grand Prix ahead of Kimi Antonelli and George Russell after Max Verstappen crashed on the opening lap. In the WNBA, Caitlin Clark made a career-high eight threes and scored 37 as the Indiana Fever beat the Chicago Sky 113 to 90. In LPGA golf, Miyu Yamashita finished 23 under and won the CPKC Women’s Open by nine strokes. On the ATP Tour, Arthur Fils beat Frances Tiafoe in three sets for his first Masters 1000 title. In the WTA final, Coco Gauff beat Jessica Pegula in straight sets for her second Cincinnati crown. In NASCAR, Ryan Blaney recovered from a pit mistake and charged from 17th to win at New Hampshire.

Looking ahead, the WNBA’s top two teams meet when the 31-and-7 Minnesota Lynx host the 25-and-11 Golden State Valkyries. Minnesota has won six straight, while Golden State enters second in the Western Conference after consecutive losses. The Atlanta Dream also visit the Los Angeles Sparks. In MLB, the Philadelphia Phillies head to Seattle to face the Mariners, while the Chicago Cubs visit the Arizona Diamondbacks after scoring 19 runs Sunday. Later this week, the 30-player PGA Tour Championship opens Thursday at East Lake, with the FedEx Cup going to the winner. In NASCAR, Saturday’s race at Daytona closes the regular season and sets the 16-driver Chase field. In other NFL news, Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty is believed to have sprained an ankle after landing awkwardly on a diving catch Sunday, though the injury is not expected to be long-term.
