Brock Purdy completed 20 of 22 passes as the San Francisco 49ers beat the Miami Dolphins 35 to 13, and Christian McCaffrey scored his 100th career touchdown. The Carolina Panthers routed the Atlanta Falcons 34 to 3 behind three touchdown passes from Bryce Young. On the PGA Tour, Jacob Bridgeman closed with a bogey-free 61 to win the Biltmore Championship at 26 under. In WTA tennis, Clara Burel won in Valencia, Lisa Pigato took the title in Caldas da Rainha, and Samira De Stefano prevailed in Ljubljana.
Looking ahead, the NFL closes Week 2 with the New York Giants visiting the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.
